Meta Information

Rank:
 Order
Domain:
 Bacteria
Zone:[  ]
Enzyme:[  ]
Function:
Enhancing CD4(+) T regulatory, Pro-inflamatory

Notes:

- Mice colonized with Clostridia bacteria had more regulatory T cells, a type of cell that dampens immune responses. The Clostridia mice also produced more of a molecule called IL-22 that strengthens the intestinal lining. (1)

Shared Reference Notes

    - Clostridiales species are significantly reduced in CRC patients compared with healthy controls. - Oral application of a mix of four Clostridiales strains (CC4) in mice prevented and even successfully treated CRC as stand-alone therapy. This effect depended on intratumoral infiltration and activation of CD8+ T cells. - Single application of Roseburia intestinalis or Anaerostipes caccae is even more effective than CC4. - The CC4 mix supplementation outperformed anti-PD-1 therapy in mouse models of CRC and melanoma.

PD patient group, the abundance of proinflammatory microbes, such as Clostridiales bacterium NK3B98 and #Ruminococcus sp AM07-15, significantly correlated with decreased fecal levels and increased plasma levels of SCFAs, especially #Propionic acid.

    - GutAlive maintained extremely #Oxygen sensitive (EOS) populations that were lost in conventional stool containers, and thus viability of species such as as #Akkermansia muciniphila, #Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and a novel member of the Clostridiales order was kept.

    - a significant decrease of microbiome organisms (Clostridiales, #Bacteroidales, and #Campylobacterales) and mycobiome (#Saccharomycetales and #Pleosporales) following #Circumcision.
  • [1.5] [#Graves’ disease, #Graves’ orbitopathy
    - presence of certain bacteria (Clostridiales) at diagnosis correlated with the persistence of TRAB 200 + days after commencing anti-thyroid drug treatment.

    - #Fasting > increased microbiome diversity and was specifically associated with upregulation of the Clostridiales order–derived #Lachnospiraceae and #Ruminococcaceae bacterial families. - increased #Lachnospiraceae > #Butyrate
